There is another window on the other side of the room, and I got a matching curtain for it, too (I’m sure I’ll be taking some pics of it someday, when I get things better organized on that side of the room). And I got a third panel as well. Maybe I’ll make some cushions out of it or something?
They were only $1.95 each!!! Talk about a deal!
As you can see, we also got a new bookshelf. Storage space in this bedroom has been a BIG issue from the start. We have a ton of books… and the room is pretty small. So this certainly helps. I’m not sure what I think of it being black… but I’m also not sure what I think of the prospect of painting it. I’d love to make it the same green as the walls, but the last time I painted a pre-fab bookcase the paint really didn’t stick very well. Maybe I’ll search the Internet for ideas.
We also put a shelf above each of the windows for even MORE storage. In this shot you may notice something alarming — a purple ceiling!
And yes, that is my doing lol, but I’ve been toying with the idea of repainting it white. I like the purple and I like that it’s different, but I think it makes the ceiling look even lower than it already is, and the room even smaller. We’ll see what happens…
